Great Whisky Icons
Here we feature some of the great names in whisky, particularly Scotch whisky, whose contribution to the development of the industry and the worldwide appreciation of its products, is sometimes overlooked in this fast moving world. Whilst we all love our single malts and the distilleries from which they emanate, we just need to bear in mind that the industry owes its place in the world today just as much to the blenders who produced those famous brands which made Scotch whisky the world’s pre-eminent drink.
In looking at a particular subject, we shall try and offer some interesting bottlings of the product as well as some historical memorabilia in the hope of encouraging a small but dedicated band of “groupies” to help further appreciation of the particular icon in question.
