70 proof 75 cl
A highly collectible vintage single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1969 at the Royal Brackla distillery. It was matured for 10 years and bottled in the late 1970s. This was right around the time the distillery transitioned from direct-fired stills to internal steam heating (1965). Standalone single malts from Royal Brackla during this era are scarce because the vast majority of their production was funnelled directly into premium DCL blends like Dewar's.
Tasting Notes
Whiskies from this era possess a distinct "Old Bottle Flavour" (OBF) profile heavily sought after by enthusiasts.
Nose: Rich with waxy notes, old book pages, honey-floral sweetness, leather, and subtle hints of dried fruits, apricot, and soft wood.
Palate: A mix of malty sugars, almonds, herbal honey, green apples, and a touch of peppery ginger spice.
Finish: Crisp and of medium length, leaving lingering notes of oak, vanilla, and drying orchard fruits.
