51.3% ABV 70 cl
This is a highly coveted and incredibly rare single malt Scotch whisky. Released in 2012 as the distillery's oldest expression, it is drawn from a marriage of three ex-sherry hogsheads and one ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.3% ABV.
Only 493 bottles were produced for worldwide distribution.
The whisky is packaged in a unique, hand-blown semi-opaque blue glass bottle crafted by Tudor Crystal. It features a distinctive wave pattern made of real, melted solid silver.
Tasting Notes
Because of the extended maturation, it carries a delicate balance of deep, aged oak and coastal freshness.
Nose: Soft and fragrant, leading with dried apricots, tropical fruits, toffee, polished precious woods, and a hint of the ocean breeze.
Palate: Punchy and waxy with a perfect balance of sweetness and oak. Flavors of orange peel, baking spices (nutmeg, cinnamon), dark chocolate, and toasted vanilla.
Finish: Long, warming, and slightly minty, with developing spicy oak tannins and zesty Seville orange.
