White Horse Back Bar Display 1940s

White Horse Back Bar Display 1940s

$500 AUD

“The difference between ordinary and legendary” are the words inscribed on the base of this very rare and unusual back bar display comprising a model of a white horse, the White Horse Inn sign on a post, and a dummy White Horse bottle with cork stopper.

The bottle suggests this display could be from the 1940’s, possibly for the US market. It would be a centre piece in any White Horse memorabilia collection.

Distillery

White Horse

A much-loved blend from the old DCL stable – forgive the pun – which Diageo still promotes in many overseas markets, including Japan.

It sold 1.5 million cases in 2015 but dropped to 1.3 million in 2016. Hopefully, that decline can be arrested.

There is more about White Horse and the brand’s history and associated distilleries under the White Horse Story.
